Melissa's Maternity Session

My sweet, wonderful friend Melissa contacted me to let me know that she was expecting and asked if we could set up a maternity session.  I was so excited!!!  Melissa and Afshin are great friends of mine and I was overjoyed for them to experience parenthood.  We set up a day hoping that it wouldn't be pouring rain that day and it actually turned out to be a beautiful day.  We took the photos at Golden Gardens in Ballard, so of course it was super crowded, but it worked out and we were able to get some great shots.  These two are so kind and their love for each other is so apparent, it was a wonderful time.  They are going to be amazing parents, and I can't wait to see their sweet little one.  Here are some of my faves from the session:

Landon's 6 Month Session

Sweet little Landon---he and his mom and dad have been featured on this blog before, in Apryl's Maternity session and Landon's Newborn session---and for his 6 month session we wanted to do something fun, so we took a chair and went into the wooded area next to my house on a beautiful, sunny day.  He is such a cutie pie and Apryl and Steve are very photogenic (and pretty much up for anything), so it was a wonderful session.  I love the juxtaposition of the earthy, organic wooded area against the chevron printed chair and Landon's brightly colored shirt.  After we shot some pictures outside, we headed inside to get some of Landon in his diaper, which is our monthly tradition.  And babies are just adorable in their diapers.  I can't believe that he's 6 months old already!  Here are some of my faves from the session:
