One of my very good friends, Apryl and her husband started their family this year, and I was so excited and overjoyed for them. Apryl is a very organized and make-it-happen kind of woman, so she knew exactly how she wanted to go about documenting her pregnancy. She wanted a weekly shot in which she would wear the same outfit in addition to a more traditional maternity shoot. I was happy to oblige! The weekly shoot was such a fun way to see her belly grow, and I'm glad that she will have it documented this way to look back on. As far as her maternity shoot, she had very specific ideas of what she wanted, but was also flexible, and she was pretty much down for whatever, which was super helpful for me! We consulted on images and locations together and even scouted out what locations would work best for the time of year. So, armed with all of this inspiration, we chose a weekend that we knew would likely be sunny. Thankfully, it was, since a lot of the kinds of shots we wanted required sunlight. Apryl and her hubby showed up and looked amazing. She was such a pro, knowing how to pose based on what kind of style she wanted the picture to be, it was so easy to photograph them! We took some pictures at the Snohomish River and in the cute, quaint downtown area of Snohomish itself. They turned out spectacularly, we were all so pleased!
